Quotes/Invoices:

All quotes which are sent out include exactly what is in the quote and nothing else. We try to make it as clear as possible what is included; however, if you have any queries regarding a quote, please ask before accepting and agreeing.

When stated in the quotation, we will only insulate areas not accessible to the customer unless specifically mentioned.

We require a 5% deposit for all jobs above £2,000.00 to secure the works.

For any work above £5,000.00, we require a further 25% deposit once either the materials, waste skip and scaffold are erected, if needed. A Further 60% when 90% is completed, then the final 10% when the last 10% of the work is completed. Payment is due within 7 days. All deposits are non-refundable.

All materials delivered are DRBC. We order 20% extra on every job. Unless stated in the quote, you are priced per square meter; all materials not used will be reclaimed by DRBC.

You have the right to cancel within 14 days if you agree either by email/text/verbally. If a quote is accepted on an urgent basis, we require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice to cancel. All quotes given are of what we have visually seen or inspected.

Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any issue you may be unsure about.

Pitched roofs/flat roofs:

We can’t offer any guarantee against damage to existing ceilings, sloping ceilings, or painted walls/ceilings, etc, caused by non-negligence; we will not be liable when having work carried out. Unless negligence can be proven, we will be liable and incur costs to fix the problem.

Insulation:

To comply with building control, if we are to install a new roof and there is insufficient insulation, we will notify the customer of the problem and send them an email stating the issue and the cost of installing the insulation. If the customer prefers to insulate the area themselves at a later date to comply with the regs, that is their choice; the roof will not be signed off as completed without the correct insulation by building control.

Roof Light Windows:

We use our preferred supplier for roof light windows. If you are to supply your own brand, then we will not guarantee any work with fitting these. We will always follow their handbook to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee compliance.

Scaffolding/Plastering/Painters/other contractors:

If any damage to your property occurs or accidents, please ask for the information of the company, and we will provide it. We will not be liable if we hire a company. We are there solely for the roofing of the property.

Plastic Works:

We are not qualified to change any flues on roofs or any waste pipes. In the quotes sent, this will not be included and would cost extra from services carried out by qualified persons.

Waste:

We usually use World Care from Llandudno Junction for local jobs. The drivers are skilled at their job and do their best to keep the skip in a safe place chosen by you. If you do not inform us, we will select the easiest accessible space. Again, if there are any damages caused by any waste team, we are not liable and should be contacted directly. If you have chosen a space for the skip, please put down protection prior to the skip being delivered. If we can’t have a skip, we are registered with Natural Resources Wales to carry all types of building waste.

There will be times when our personal truck is not available, and work will be carried out; we will put a tarpaulin down or wooden boards as protection to have a waste area segregated. We will choose the easiest accessible area.

Notice for works:

The liability is on the customer to inform any neighbours or residents local to the area that there will be work being carried out on your property. If you’re having a re-roof, there will be work carried out on your roof and your neighbours’ roofs, such as bonding gutters to the neighbouring roof or lead work carried out around adjoining chimneys, etc.

If more than 25% of the roof covering is being changed, the local council should be notified of the works; the liability for this is on the owner.

We advise moving any plant pots/bins/furniture from below any area we are working on prior to starting to prevent any fallen debris from damaging the items. If you are unable to move these, please notify us, and we can assist prior to starting work. We also advise empty loft areas and placing tarpaulin down to prevent debris falling through and damaging the insulation, again if your unable to do so please notify us prior to starting and we can assist in doing so.

Timber Work:

We can internally within our company renew small areas of timber needed; if the work is out of our scope, we will hire a company to do the work. The price given will solely be for the timber work replacement needed, unless stated, no brick work/mortar work will be quoted until after the timber work has been completed.
